Description

I am pleased that I was able to get NGC 7635 (i.e. the Bubble Nebula) and M52 in the same frame. I just think that it makes for an intersting image. The sope used to acquire this image was an Esprit 150 which has a focal length of 1050 mm. That has turned out to be a useful focal length for me. It's kind of intermediate, so I can get both nebulas and some galaxies. Of course, there hahave been times wehn I wished for a shorter or longer focal length but this is working out pretty good for me. I will have to do mosacis on bigger nebulas, so thats a downside but Im imaging Markarian's Chain (Virgo Cluster) in a two panel mosaic right now and that seems to be feasible. As I look at this imnage , I think it would have benefited from some luminance subs. Possibly i wiill add that next fall.

As for processing this image, I did most of the work on the Starless image - using Starnet2 in Pixinsight. That certainly is a great way to work on the image without messing up the stars. I did dim down the stars a little bit with a HT prior to adding them back and I like that effect as well.
